Telecom engineers review your physical wireline network to ensure that it is right-sized to your business needs.

An evolving organizational footprint and changing usage habits can often result in a wireline network that’s wildly out of sync with your business needs. Critical to GSG’s cost reduction approach is an intensive, site-based optimization analysis, which helps to assess whether your wireline services are efficiently configured to your company’s infrastructure.

GSG utilizes trans-disciplinary acumen and a systematic methodology to review every line and circuit at each one of your locations. By gathering multiple reports and studies, mapping out your network, and translating your contract terms, our analysts are able to assemble a unified and coherent optimization study that yields quick—and frequently substantial—reductions in wireline spend. Our process includes:

• Line and circuit studies: Every site is reviewed to match demographics according to your telecom infrastructure. Each line and circuit is identified for use (i.e., fax, elevator, voice, data, modem), and the ones that are no longer needed are disconnected. Determining the unnecessary lines is accomplished by studying usage, performing ring tests, and/or sending a technician on-site.
• Data circuit review: Your data circuits are reviewed for contract compliance, location integrity and capacity planning, and circuit termination points are confirmed against your site list. GSG makes sure that circuit components are no longer billing if a master service has been disconnected.

The result of your site-based optimization is a detailed report on the cost reduction opportunities identified, as well as specific recommendations on how to achieve those savings. Such recommendations may include change line type, re-rate per lowest tariff, and suspend for inactivity, and are presented to you via the WirelineManager portal for further evaluation and approval.

Going forward, optimization checks are performed on a monthly basis to ensure your wireline network keeps in step with your changing organization.
